DOG FRIENDLY GlAMPING

Do you like dogs?
We Love dogs!

Grey Willow Yurts is a very dog friendly campsite. Who else is going to keep your toesies warm in the night!

Bringing your dog along with you on holiday is the bonus of a staycation. We love to take our dog Darwin to as many dog friendly places as we can as he’s part of our family, as I’m sure yours is too!

Being a dog friendly glamping site was a no brainer for us, and not just so we get the best puppy cuddles all the time, but so everyone feels included, which is why we don’t charge extra for your furry friends.

Having a dog on holiday doesn’t have to restrict what you do, here are some of our favourite dog friendly places to visit, eat, and great walkies!

Dog friendly places to visit in the South West

Nearly all the coastal towns on the Jurassic coast love dogs as much as we do. Most shops, especially in Lyme Regis and Sidmouth, allow you to bring your dog into the shops, as well as providing water for them outside. In the summer months, the beaches are sectioned into dog friendly areas.

The Donkey Sanctuary, near Sidmouth, is a lovely day out for all the family. Your dog is most welcome if they’re on a lead, even the cafe has dog treats on each table. There’s an excellent walk over the cliffs and on to the beach, just under 3 miles long. https://www.southwestcoastpath.org.uk/walksdb/303/

Dog friendly places to eat in the South West

Sidmouth Arms in upottery, a country pub just ten mins drive away, or a lovely 45 minute walk (there is a hill!). They’re very dog friendly, as well as serving good honest pub grub, in the picturesque village of Upottery.

Boston Tea Party in Honiton is very welcoming of dogs, you can enjoy a cuppa, cake or brunch and lunch along with your furry friend.

Our favourite dog walk in Devon

Just a 5 minute drive from the Grey Willow Yurts is Otterhead lakes. A beautiful figure of 8 walk around the nature reserve, reservoir and through the woods. It’s not too taxing although it can get a little muddy during the winter, so bring your wellies.

If you have any other little gems of places to go, eat or walk with your furry friends then we’d love to hear about them, share them on our facebook page or comment below!
