Terms & Conditions - February 2021 onward

Grey Willow Yurts – Terms and Conditions.

We strongly recommended to take out UK travel insurance to cover your stay. If you choose not to take out UK travel insurance, then you accept responsibility for any loss that you may incur due to your cancellation, not due to government lockdown. 

Bookings:

The primary booking person must be over 18 years old at the time of booking.

The yurt should only be used by those identified by the booking. You are responsible for the members of your party.

Group Bookings:

We are happy to accept group bookings, which can include hen & stag parties, we ask for a refundable security deposit of £100, which will be refunded at the end of the stay (via bank transfer within 7 days) providing no damages or additional costs have been incurred.

Payment:

A 25% not refundable deposit/booking fee is required to secure the booking, the balance is required 4 weeks before the start of your stay. Bookings will be held for 24 hours for deposit to be received. 

Bookings made that are less than 4 weeks away from the stay require full payment at the point of booking.

All prices are per Yabin (not per person). Additional baskets of wood are charged at £4/basket.

Cancellations:

Bookings placed between 31st March 2020 and the 10th February 2021 are covered under a different set of Terms and Conditions here

For Bookings made from 10th February 2021, these Terms and Conditions apply.

Please contact us as soon as possible by email or phone if you’re unable to attend your booking and we can work on reselling your stay to provide the best outcome for you.

Force Majeure

In the unlikely event we cannot accommodate your stay due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, force majeure, we will offer an opportunity to re-book your stay at a later date.

Weather:

If at any point we deem the weather to present a potential risk to yourselves or the yurts we will reserve the right to cancel your stay and offer a refund for the remaining days of your stay, as a percentage of the total booking paid, or rebook your stay for a later date.

Four weeks or more prior to stay:

For cancellations from the guest more than four weeks from their stay, the non-refundable 25% deposit/booking fee is retained by Grey Willow Yurts and the guest does not need to pay the balance owed. 

For cancellations less than four weeks: 

a.) Under Covid-19 Restrictions: If your booking has to be cancelled because Grey Willow Yurts is forced to close under Government lockdown restrictions national or local, and the period of closure covers your booking, you will be refunded in full or offered to move the booking to a future date. 

b.) No refund will be given for guests unable to attend due to inability to travel and stay at Grey Willow Yurts for any reason, including – but is not limited to – illness, including Covid-19, a requirement or recommendation to self-isolate or quarantine, shielding, a call to jury duty, military service, incarceration, change in personal or work circumstances, family emergencies, travel delays, vehicle breakdown, and delays with public transport.  

We will always try to resell the booking, If we are able to resell the stay, a refund will be given for the amount we were able to resell at, the original 25% deposit/booking fee will be retained by Grey Willow Yurts to market the stay.

You are strongly recommended to take out UK travel insurance which includes Covid cover, to cover these eventualities. If you choose not to take out UK travel insurance, then you accept responsibility for any loss that you may incur due to your cancellation.

It is the responsibility of the Customer to acquire suitable travel insurance for themselves and their party to cover the booking. 

Covid is also now a known risk and it is possible for you to insure your UK holiday against it. This can include the customer or any of the party having Covid, the customer or any of the party having to isolate or quarantine, or shield.

Arrivals/Departures:

We ask guests to arrive after 3pm on the day of arrival, if you are unable to arrive before 8.30pm, please unpack quietly and read the welcome pack pdf prior to arrival. 

Departure is no later than 10am on the departure day stated unless late check out is purchased. 

Damages:

Please advise of all breakages/damages as soon as possible, to replenish items before the following guests arrive. Guests are liable for all payment to replace items, however, we are understanding of accidents and at our discretion, we may waive the fee for small items.

Please leave your yurt tidy as you found it.

Smoking is not permitted in the yurt or any buildings. A £50 fine will be given for any person found doing so as in line with UK Law.

Onsite Safety:

Fire safety advise must be adhered to; all yurts are equipped with log burners which can become very hot, please take care when they are in use. Please use the fireguards provided in all our yurts when in use.

Outside fires are allowed at the yurts fire pit, please use the same caution and keep fires small.

Firewood and kindling are provided, wood cannot be taken from the surrounding trees and hedges, or private adjoining fields. 

Children must be supervised at all times in the yurt and on-site.

Noise:

We do ask that you respect the other guests on-site and our local residents and keep the noise down to a minimum. Just quiet stories around the campfire after 9pm, please.

Drones, Fireworks & Night Lanterns.

The use of drones is not allowed without our express written permission. Fireworks and Night Lanterns are not allowed on site. 

Dogs:

Well behaved dogs are most welcome, but we do ask that you keep them on a lead at all times while on-site to avoid disturbance to other guests. We reserve the right to ask guests to leave if we believe their dog is causing a disturbance. Maximum of three dogs per yurt. 

Offers:

Only one offer to be used at a time, cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers.

We disclaim any liability or losses or injury sustained by guests or their property except where negligence is on the part of ourselves.
